G.I. Joe Movie News

New news on the cast . . .

Ray Park (Toad in X-Men, soon to be the star of Iron Fist) as Snake Eyes.
Sienna Miller (Stardust, Alfie, Layer Cake) as Baroness.
Korean-born star Byung-Hun Lee (Jet Li's Hero) will be playing Tommy S. Arashikage (aka Storm Shadow)
Rachel Nichols (Charlie Wilson's War, The Amityville Horror) has been set to play Shana "Scarlett" O'Hara.

Plot Summary: The movie will be a modern telling of the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" storyline first told by Hasbro 25 years ago in their "Real American Hero" era of their G.I Joe action figure line. The premise of this fantasy is the story of the G.I. Joe team, led by Duke, and their "fight for freedom wherever there is trouble" against the evil Cobra Commander and his Cobra force. This storyline was an instant hit with kids in the early 1980s, spawning a highly popular 3-3/4-inch action figure line, comic book collection and animated series. The G.I. Joe team be based out of the "Pit" as they were throughout the 1980s comic book series. And, in keeping with the G.I. Joe vs. Cobra fantasy, the movie will feature characters and locations from around the world. Duke, the lead character and head of the G.I. Joe team, will embody the values of bravery and heroism that the first generation of G.I. Joe figures established.

The New K.I.T.T.

The new Knight Rider is under production and the new K.I.T.T. is on display.

The producers Glen Larson, Doug Liman, Dave Barton & Steve Shill are switching the central character to a 550 HP Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang. The show will star Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Bruce Davison, David Hasselhoff, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Wayne Kasserman and Greg Ellis. NBC plans to air the two hour movie/pilot sometime in mid-2008.

Plot Concept: Tracer is recruited by his childhood best friend, Sarah Graiman (Deanna Russo), and her eccentric physicist father, Charles (Davison), to join the Knight Foundation, a group committed to counteracting and preventing the damage done by private, covert military contractors. To assist their missions, Charles creates the second-generation KITT, an artificially intelligent car. A shady millionaire approaches Charles to commission a KITT car, and when Charles refuses, he hires a military contractor to murder him and steal the car.

John Singleton directing A-Team movie

Dragon Ball Live Action Movie

The Dragon Ball live action flick is under production!
From the Left: Justin Chatwin(War of the Worlds, The Invisible) is Goku, Joon Park (also in Speed Racer) is Yamcha, Eriko Tamura (Heroes) is Mai, James Marsters (Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel) as Piccolo, Jamie Chung (Real World, some TV spots) as Chi-Chi and Emmy Rossum (Poseidon, Day After Tomorrow) as an unknown character - most likely Bulma.
Dragon Ball is being directed by James Wong (Writer & Directer of Final Destination 1&3 and The One with Jet Li). Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer) is producing.
For those not in the know, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT are among the most popular series of Japanese animation to ever hit the States. The series pretty much put Cartoon Network on the map with adults. It is a very long story with a huge list of possible characters and situations. It was always slightly goofy with the character names: They fight an evil wizard named Bibidi whose son Babidi releases his most evil creation, Buu. Bulma's last name is Briefs and her two children (in DBGT) are Trunks and Bulla (meaning Bra).
Anyway should be fun to watch
